Kwahu Tafo Village Health Project |
|
The Health project is the newest project of the UVO. Through this project, with the help of our volunteers, we have been able to cover the funds required to register all our children with the public health care system. This provides them with the necessary care, free of charge, in the event of an illness or accident.
In addition to this, we wish to educate our children on basic health care, as well as more serious issues such as malaria and HIV/ADIS. The volunteer can discus these issues with the children at our evening classes, and demonstrate these good health practices in their home environments.
Furthermore, we wish to support the local clinics and hospitals in and around Kwahu-Tafo. Here you can help the nurses and doctors diagnose, treat, and monitor patients, or help deliver infants in the maternity ward. While these placements are best suited to medical students or professionals. If you have only just left school, but are interested in helping out, we encourage you to apply. |
